The event kicks off 6pm at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO, with special guests, Rebelution.  The very first Blues Traveler album will be performed in its entirety in addition to a full length set!

Blues Traveler is also holding a contest to find the biggest Blues Traveler Fans.  The winner will win a meet & greet with the band, 2 tickets to the show and a $20 credit at the merchandise booth!  Official entry and rules are posted to the Blues Traveler’s Official Facebook Page.

The three day festival takes place on 46 acres of the green oasis known as Zilker Park in Austin, TX, during October 8-10th.  Festival attendees will experience 130+ artists from across the world,  as well as some of the best local eats and wares, fun for the kids, and the latest in eco-friendly and green happenings since the festival insists on being 100% carbon neutral. 

The line up has been officially announced and includes headlining performances by The Flaming Lips, The Eagles, Muse, Phish, The Strokes and M.I.A.  

Fans have several options for how they want to experience the festival– tickets come as a 3-day festival pass and 1- day festival pass for either Friday, Saturday or Sunday.  Unfortunately, 3-day passes are already sold out, so check the 2010 ACL schedule to see if there’s one day you prefer.

“We are very excited to be teaming up with Dare 2 Dream for our return to Chicago in support of such an important cause,” says Blues Traveler.  “Juvenile diabetes is a serious problem in this country and one that unfortunately is often overlooked so we are thrilled at the chance to raise awareness and money for this cause and help Partnership for Cures to continue with their mission.”

Every hour one Child is diagnosed with juvenile diabetes (or type 1).  It has been reported by the National Institutes of Health that juvenile diabetes in American children and adolescents is increasing.  Please come out and show your support for this wonderful cause.

Despite their name, Blues Traveler, the group is known for a number of genres, including soul, Southern rock and folk rock. Their current members include singer John Popper, guitarist Chan Kinchla, bassist Tad Kinchla, drummer Brendan Hill and keyboardist Ben Wilson.
